DISS - Dynamic and Integrated Dispatching in Cargo Shipping Systems

This project is part of the “Intelligente Logistik im Güter- und Wirtschaftsverkehr” (Intelligent logistics in goods transportation and commercial transactions) initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. DISS is a cooperative project with the chair of transportation systems and logistics. The aim of this research project is the development of an intelligent control center for local and intercity traffic dispatch management. We integrate the previously separated parts for vehicle routing and for transshipment management into one optimization process to consider potential synergies and avoid negative interactions.
