Population models
models for the subdivision or distribution of individuals within a population
(distributed EA).
A common feature of all population models is that single
populations exist separately, albeit not independently.
Population models can be classified with respect to the influence radius of
selection
(selection pool):
global,
regional,
and
local.
The hierarchical combination of population models leads to hybrid
population models.
