Selection pool
the part of the population containing all individuals
which constitute mutual reproduction partners
(parents).
In a
panmictic population
the selection pool is the whole population. In a
regional population model
the selection pool is the respective
subpopulation.
In a
local population model
the selection pool is a local neighborhood.
