Kurzfassung |
Der Lehrstuhl für Systemanalyse (Informatik XI) wurde im Jahr 1985 neu eingerichtet im Zusammenhang mit der Schaffung eines zweiten Diplom-Studiengangs Ingenieurinformatik (exakter: Angewandte Informatik mit dem Schwerpunkt Ingenieurwissenschaften) am Fachbereich Informatik der Universität Dortmund. Professor Schwefel ist seither Leiter des Lehrstuhls. Im Jahr 1993 kam Professor Banzhaf als zweiter Hochschullehrer am Lehrstuhl hinzu. Er vertritt das Fachgebiet: Grundlagen und Anwendungen der Informatik in den Ingenieurwissenschaften. |
Forschungstätigkeit |
Die moderne Systemanalyse setzt sich im Wesentlichen aus den Teildisziplinen
Datenanalyse, Modellierung, Simulation und Synthese zusammen. Für die Synthese
sind Optimierungsaufgaben von besonderer Bedeutung. Bei vielen Problemen kann das
gesuchte Optimum aufgrund der Komplexität des Suchraums nicht analytisch bestimmt werden.
Hier finden Verfahren Anwendung, die eine möglichst optimale Lösung nach möglichst
wenigen getesten Alternativen aufspüren. |
Apparative Ausstattung |
Die Basis für die experimentelle Arbeit der einzelnen Arbeitsgruppen ist ein Local Area Network (LAN),
bestehend aus 50 Workstations, in dem alle Rechner ihre Benutzerdaten von 5 zentralen File-Servern beziehen.

Kooperationsangebote |
Das Informatik Centrum Dortmund (ICD) wurde 1989 von Professoren des Fachbereichs Informatik der Universität Dortmund gegründet. Es steht regionalen und überregionalen Unternehmen aus allen Sparten der Wirtschaft als Forschungs- und Entwicklungspartner zur Verfügung. Eine besondere Stärke des ICD liegt in der Zusammenarbeit von Informatikern verschiedener Ausrichtung, die noch ergänzt wird durch Kooperationen mit Wissenschaftlern anderer Fachrichtungen wie Maschinenbau und Elektrotechnik. Unsere Fachabteilung CASA (Centrum für Angewandte Systemanalyse) kooperiert mit industriellen Partnern in unterschiedlichsten Anwendungsbereichen, z.B. der Beladeplanoptimierung von Druckwasserreaktoren (Siemens AG München, KWU Erlangen), der Optimierung optischer Mehrschichtsysteme (Philips Forschungslabor Aachen), und des optimalen Designs industrieller Anlagen (Siemens AG München). Der Technologietransfer wird durch verschiedenste Angebote von der Durchführung von Seminaren über die Entwicklung und Bereitstellung von Standardsoftware bis hin zur Konzeption und Realisierung spezifischer Problemlösungen unterstützt und gewährleistet. |
