also 1/5 success rule, rule for controlling the mutation strength for the $(1+1)$-ES: Depending on the (measured) success probability $P_s$ the mutation strength is increased after a certain number of generations, if $P_s > 1/5$, and decreased, if $P_s < 1/5$.
